Get paid while you learn how to do cool things on homes and properties!
We'll team you up with skilled technicians and you will learn electrical, plumbing, design, landscaping, how to install hot tubs, build outdoor kitchens, and much more! Don't forget that we do the initial tear out, leveling, grading, roughing in, etc. as well, and because that foundation work is critical, we need people that have an excellent work ethic. In exchange you get awesome training!
Senior Associate
Senior Associates usually have a fair amount of experience, and have most often done a project type a few times, but not always. Because of how fast the building industry is changing, combined with each project being a unique homeowner request, it is challenging to have faced everything that comes our way. More often than not we find ourselves continuously learning and adapting. This ability to learn and adapt defines the Senior Associate. It is common for a Senior Associate to take on a project and while leveraging a good amount of existing knowledge and experience, solve the rest of the challenges as they arise! They spend considerable time studying the situation and talking with homeowners to clarify our understanding. Simultaneously they'll be working with manufacturers and our network of designers and contacts to discuss emerging tools, technologies and innovative approaches in order to deliver a high-quality project to a very satisfied customer!
Associate
Being an Associate is fun and challenging. While you are not an expert yet, you have enough jobs under your belt to have gained confidence. Plus, because of the way we work on open teams
Junior Associate
Little or no experience? Most of our folks start here and dig in - literally. It's common to begin on a team as the "new guy!" We choose people who demonstrate a willingness to learn and take direction, yet can still give feedback on important issues. You'll be expected to be self-motivated, and willing to listen appropriately to absorb instructions and then execute according to plan. As you gain skills over time, we provide growth opportunities. We are super happy when we see the "new guys" learning from their mentors and succeeding in each assignment! Your mentor is responsible for making sure you acquire the technical training you need to succeed in each assignment. Everyone on the team is expected to participate in regular sessions where we discuss design techniques, challenges, and innovative solutions! At this point in your career you might feel a bit uncomfortable doing this, but just dig in and do the best you can - that's all we ask. Over time you'll fit right in!

I went to work at Charming Chico Rental while a student at Chico State. I was hoping to learn how to build outdoor kitchens because I wanted one myself. But the first job for me was pulling wires, a whole lot of wires, a whole house redo on the electrical upgrade from the panel in fact. Funny thing - I loved it. Designing electrical is challenging when planning for modern appliances, sconce lighting that looks pretty, outdoor kitchens, hot tubs, yard and property lighting, indoor herb gardens, and all that good stuff. I'm working toward my contractors license now, focused on electrical. Thank you Charming Chico Rentals!

I really wanted to learn landscaping. I did learn that and so much more while I went to school at Chico State and studied Interior Design. I got my degree and I am actually now a professional landscaper in Southern California, I am so grateful to Charming Chico Rental - they taught me landscaping, how to set up outdoor living spaces like kitchens and patios with lots of plants. Lots and lots of beautiful plants. I learned about things I loved, and now I love my work!

I was surprised and delighted with how quickly I got to actually design cool kitchens. That's my thing - gorgeous kitchens. At Charming Chico Rental you do a lot of different things, and don't get me wrong, there is some good old fashioned hard work doing some grunt work - but then nice opportunities come your way, and you get to learn how to build cool stuff! I just finished designing a kitchen that was opened up to the dining room, with beautiful marble counters, wine cooler, stations for specialty cooking, floating island, and so much more!
